Sharing Our Blessings With Those in Need

The St. Bernadette Food Pantry is a ministry of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish dedicated to helping provide food to individuals and families in need throughout our community. Located at St. Bernadette School, the pantry depends on the generosity and service of parishioners and volunteers.

For the past 38 years, Rico and Deb Diamantini have faithfully dedicated themselves to the St. Bernadette Food Pantry. They will continue to assist on a limited basis as the ministry transitions to new leadership.

Volunteer With Us

As the pantry enters this new chapter, we are looking for volunteers to help continue this important ministry.

The parish already has volunteers who help with the weekly work of picking up food and placing orders from Ferraro’s. We are especially looking for someone who can schedule and coordinate volunteers and serve as the “face” of the Food Pantry.

Whether you are interested in helping coordinate the ministry or simply want to volunteer your time, there is an opportunity for you to serve.

Every Saturday
10:00–11:00 AM

Ways You Can Help

Volunteers can assist with:

  • Scheduling and coordinating pantry volunteers
  • Picking up food each week
  • Assisting with food orders
  • Organizing and sorting donations
  • Preparing the pantry
  • Helping during pantry hours
  • Supporting parish food drives and special collections

Every volunteer makes a difference in helping this ministry continue to serve our neighbors.

Food Donations

The pantry is always grateful for donations of non-perishable foods, especially:

  • Canned tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned tuna fish
  • Canned soups
  • Canned fruits
  • Pasta
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Peanut butter
  • Other non-perishable foods

Please ensure that donated items are unopened and in good condition.
