Together We Restore What Faith Has Built
Our parish is embarking on a capital campaign to restore and preserve our three worship sites: Our Lady of Pompeii, St. Bernadette, and St. Vincent de Paul.
This campaign is about gratitude for what previous generations built, responsibility for what has been entrusted to us, and preparing these sacred places for the generations who will come after us.
100% of the money raised through this campaign stays here at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish.
Our Goal
$1 Million
The complete body of work currently has estimated costs exceeding $3 million.
Our initial campaign goal is $1 million. Reaching this goal will allow the parish to begin addressing the most urgent needs, prevent further deterioration, and move forward responsibly.
How You Can Support the Campaign
Every household is invited to prayerfully consider a sacrificial commitment according to its means and circumstances.
Registered parishioners will receive a campaign letter, brochure, and pledge card by mail. We ask you to take time to read the materials, discuss them as a household, and prayerfully consider how you can participate.
Equal gifts are not required.
A shared sacrifice is.
Pledges may be fulfilled over 36 months, making a meaningful commitment more manageable. A household may also choose to make a one-time gift.
Some families may be able to make a significant gift. Others may offer a smaller gift that represents an equally meaningful sacrifice. Those who are unable to give financially at this time can support the campaign through prayer and encouragement.
If you do not receive campaign materials in the mail, or if you have questions about the campaign or would like to make a pledge, please contact the Parish Office.
Pledge cards may be returned through the offertory, using the enclosed envelope, or directly to the Parish Office.
Three Worship Sites. One Parish Family.
For generations, parishioners have gathered in our three churches to worship, celebrate the sacraments, pray, and share the most important moments of their lives. Each church has its own history, memories, and special place in the hearts of our parishioners.
Our Lady of Pompeii, St. Bernadette, and St. Vincent de Paul are more than buildings. They are places where generations of families have encountered Christ, celebrated milestones, found comfort in difficult moments, and gathered together as a community of faith.
While each worship site has its own needs, we are not three unrelated communities. We are one parish family.
When one part of our parish needs attention, the whole family responds. The needs of one worship site belong to all of us because the faith, history, and future of these churches belong to all of us.
Our Lady of Pompeii
Parking Lot & Drainage
At Our Lady of Pompeii Church, the parking lot and drainage system require major reconstruction.
The first welcome a parish offers begins before anyone reaches the church doors. A safe, dependable approach is an important part of welcoming parishioners, visitors, families, and those coming to the church for worship and the sacraments.
Addressing the parking lot and drainage will help improve the safety and reliability of the property while protecting the church and grounds from continued drainage-related concerns.
This work is about more than pavement and drainage. It is about making sure that people can arrive at their spiritual home safely and with dignity.
St. Bernadette
Masonry Restoration
At St. Bernadette Church, the masonry requires restoration and repointing.
Mortar may seem like a small and ordinary part of a building, but it plays an important role in holding the structure together and protecting the walls from the elements. Restoring and repointing the masonry will help protect the church and address deterioration before it becomes a more serious problem.
The work may not be the most visible part of the campaign, but it is essential work. Quietly holding things together is part of caring for the sacred place entrusted to us.
St. Vincent de Paul
Roof, Gutters & Masonry
At St. Vincent de Paul Church, extensive work is needed on the roof, gutters, and related masonry.
A church building must be able to shelter the people who gather within it. Addressing the roof and related structures will help protect the church from the elements and preserve the sacred space where our parish community gathers for worship, prayer, and the celebration of the sacraments.
The work extends beyond the roof itself. Related gutter and masonry work is also necessary to help protect the building and prevent further deterioration.
One Parish. Three Churches. One Family in Christ.
The needs of our three worship sites may be different, but our responsibility is shared.
A parishioner whose family has worshiped at St. Bernadette can help protect Our Lady of Pompeii. Someone whose deepest memories are at Our Lady of Pompeii can help preserve St. Vincent de Paul. A family connected to St. Vincent de Paul can help restore the walls of St. Bernadette.
That is what it means to be one parish family.
Why We Are Doing This
Long before many of us walked through these doors, faithful people dreamed, planned, prayed, worked, and sacrificed to build these churches.
Generations of parishioners have been baptized here, received the sacraments here, celebrated marriages here, received God’s mercy here, mourned loved ones here, and encountered Christ in the Eucharist here.
That is what faith has built.
Now that inheritance has been placed in our hands.
Our responsibility is to preserve it and hand it on.

Our patron saint, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, encouraged us to pray, hope, and not worry.
As we undertake this work, we are called to place our trust in God while faithfully doing the good entrusted to us.

Return your pledge card through the enclosed envelope, through the offertory, or to the parish office.
A Legacy for Generations to Come
Years from now, most people will not know who paid for a length of gutter, a section of pavement, a course of mortar, or a portion of a roof.
And that is all right.
The true legacy is that:
The doors remain open.
The roof remains sound.
The walls remain strong.
The parking lot remains safe.
The sacraments continue to be celebrated.
The Gospel continues to be preached.
Christ continues to gather His people.
We may never meet the child who will be baptized here twenty years from now. We may never know the family who will find consolation here in a moment of grief.
But through what we do now, we can prepare a spiritual home for them.

Every generation receives a sacred inheritance.
