Religious Education Program Overview – 2026–2027

The Saint Pio Religious Education Program offers faith formation for students in grades 1 through 10, including sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in Grade 3, and Confirmation Preparation in Grades 8 & 9, with the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring.

For the 2026-2027 school year, all Religious Education classes will be held in person.

  • Classes for grades 1-7 will take place in St. Vincent de Paul School.
  • Classes for grades 8-9 will be held in the Parish Center.

The Family Ministry Program will continue to provide opportunities for families to grow in faith together through service projects and parish-wide events, fostering a strong sense of community and spiritual growth.

Class Schedule

  • Grades 1–6
    • Monday: 5:30 – 6:30 PM
    • Tuesday: 5:30 – 6:30 PM
  • Grade 7
    • Tuesday: 5:30 – 6:30 PM
    • Monday: 5:30 – 6:30 PM
  • Grades 8-9 (Confirmation Preparation)
    • Monday: 7:00 – 8:30 PM

Registration Information

  • Please call the Office of Religious Education at 203-469-0764 (Option 4) for questions about registration or class placement.
  • Completed registration forms should be returned as soon as possible to secure your child’s spot.

Fees for 2026–2027:

  • First Child: $60
  • Second Child: $50
  • Third Child: $40
  • Each Additional Child: $25
  • Confirmation Students (Grades 8 & 9): $150
    (includes classroom materials retreat, reconciliation, service, and confirmation ceremony at St. Joseph Cathedral)

Payment Options: Cash, check, or online via the QR code provided on the registration form.

Additional Notes

  • Families previously registered at St. Clare, St. Bernadette, St. Vincent de Paul, or Our Lady of Pompeii parishes are automatically considered registered at St. Pio.
  • Please provide copies of sacramental records (Baptism, First Holy Communion) if your child did not receive these sacraments at one of the above parishes.
  • Please list any special needs, medical conditions, or allergies on the registration form.
