Welcoming Others with the Love of Christ
St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish is seeking volunteers to serve in our Hospitality & Greeter Ministry at our three churches and at our weekend Masses.
Greeters play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for parishioners, visitors, and newcomers. By offering a friendly greeting, assisting those who may need help, and providing a welcoming presence before Mass, our Greeters help everyone feel at home in our parish community.
This is a simple but meaningful ministry that allows us to share the love of Christ and live out our parish mission of being One Parish, Three Churches, One Family in Christ.
Our Hospitality & Greeter Ministry
The ministry began with volunteers serving at the 11:45 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church. As we continue to grow, we hope to welcome additional parishioners who would like to share their time and gifts of hospitality with our parish family.

New Greeters will receive an orientation and will be paired with an experienced volunteer as they become familiar with the ministry.
Serving Across Our Parish
As we continue to grow the Hospitality & Greeter Ministry, we hope to have volunteers serving at all three of our churches and at a variety of weekend Masses. Whether you attend St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Pompeii, or St. Bernadette, there is an opportunity to share the gift of hospitality with fellow parishioners, visitors, and those who may be joining us for the first time.
Greeters help create a welcoming atmosphere before Mass by offering a friendly greeting, assisting visitors and newcomers, answering questions when possible, and helping others feel comfortable as they enter the church. You do not need previous experience just a willingness to welcome others and serve your parish family.
We are especially interested in hearing from parishioners who may be able to serve at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, St. Bernadette Church, or the Saturday Vigil Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

All volunteers participating in this ministry are required to complete Virtus: Protecting God’s Children training, as required by the Archdiocese of Hartford. For more information on the training please contact Jennie Llanos.
