Religious Education Grades K through 10

Classes are offered for students in grades 1 through 10 on a weekly and bi weekly basis, including Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in Grade 3.

Confirmation Preparation classes begin in grade 9 and conclude in grade 10 with the reception of the Sacrament in the spring.

 

For the 2021-2022 year

All Religious Education Classes will be in person.

The Religious Education Resource Page will still be active as family activities will still be a part of the program.

Classes for grades 1 through 8  will continue to be held in St Vincent dePaul School and in the Parish center building for grades 9 and 10, however, now that St. Bernadette is part of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, we have the use of the school building there as well. For several reasons, we have to use the building for Religious Education, therefore, there will be one session offered there each week . The Monday evening session which will run from 6:15 to 7:15 pm for grades 1 through 8 will be held there.
I am planning weekly lessons for grades 1 through 6 and  twice monthly classes for grades 7 through 10 with some classes being done at home. 
With the continuing concerns about the Covid virus, I will be updating all of you with any changes if the need arises. The remote learning set up will remain with the Zoom links still in place if need be.  I will be following the same mandates and requirements with regard to masks, class size, social distancing and cleaning that are set for schools as well as any that may come from the Archdiocese of Hartford. If a fourth class day must be set, I will let all of you know. The registration form is found on this page as well.  I ask that you make the effort to register sooner rather than later so that I can plan for class sizes and materials. Classes for grades 1 through 9 will begin October 18, 19 and 20. Grade 10 will begin on October 25.

Mass and Activity Information

Daily Masses are being celebrate in all three churches, Monday through Thursday at 8:00 am.

Weekend Masses are being held. All three churches have the regular weekend schedule. Please see the bulletin for Mass times.

Mass will still be live streamed and available every day and on the weekend. You can view those Masses on the website. Click the On Line Mass tab and follow the instructions.

Please attend Mass with your children, either in person or at home.
